KRANTI DIN CELEBRATION 2025 – 2026

Kranti Din was observed at St. Lawrence High School on 18th June, 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The program aimed to play tribute to the brave freedom fighters of Goa and to instill a sense of pride and nationalism among the students.

The event began with a solemn speech by a student, highlighting the importance of the day. She spoke about how the Kranti Din marks a turning point in Goa’s history and the sacrifices made by the Goan people for liberation from Portuguese rule. The speech served as a reminder of our rich history and the values of courage, unity and determination.

This was followed by a vibrant fusion dance performance by the Primary section. The little ones dressed in colourful traditional costumes enthralled the audience with their graceful movements. The fusion of Goan folk and patriotic beats reflected the cultural pride and spirit of freedom that Kranti Din represents.

The next item was a poem enactment by the secondary boys. Through expressive narration, the boys brought to life the pain, struggles and hopes of Goan revolutionaries.

The celebration concluded with an inspiring message by our school Manager, Rev. Fr. Vicente Leonardo Leitão. He reminded the students of their responsibility as future citizens to uphold the values of justice, truth and liberty. He encouraged everyone to be grateful for the hard – earned freedom and to contribute positively to society.
