The Investiture Ceremony of the School Cabinet of St. Lawrence High School, Agassaim for the Academic Year 2025-2026 was held on 24th June 2025 in the school hall where they newly elected leaders of the Primary and Secondary Section took the oath of leadership.
The Investiture Ceremony began at 9:00a.m. welcoming the Chief Guest for the day Manager, Rev. Fr. Vicente Leonardo Leitão, Guest of Honour Ex. Deputy Director of Sports and Youth Affairs Mrs. Juliana Gurjão, Headmistress Ms. Lona da Silva, P.T.A. Chairperson Mrs. Eddelein Fernandes, Teachers, Parents and Students.
The theme for the day was ‘Lead with purpose follow with passion’. The Chief Guest and Guest of Honour were formally welcomed with flowers. The programme began with the elected leader’s marching forth to the stage to mark their oath. Later, the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Vicente Leonardo Leitão, Guest of Honour , Mrs. Juliana Gurjão, Headmistress, Ms. Lona da Silva, P.T.A. Chairperson Mrs. Eddelein Fernandes and P.E. Teacher, Sir Fredrick Fernandes lit the traditional lamp followed by the Prayer Service.
The Cabinet members were formally vested with slashes and badges. The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Vicente Leonardo Leitão places the slashes and badges on the Head boy and the Head girl of both Primary and Secondary Section, Guest of Honour, Mrs. Juliana Gurjão conferred the slashes and badges on the Commander and Vice – Commander. The Headmistress, Ms. Lona da silva conferred the slashes and badges on the Captains and P.E. Teacher, Sir Fredrick Fernandes conferred the same on the Vice – Captain of the four houses. The badges of the class Representative were pinned by their respective Class Teachers. The programme ended with an encouraging and motivating speech by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour.
